Miss Julie
Julie Rogers started dancing at the age of 3, studying from 7 different studios in the state of Maryland. She has won many regional, state, and national titles competing in the areas of tap, jazz, ballet, pantomime, novelty and modeling. Before starting her own studio in 1988. Julie performed at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, danced at the Stage Door Cabaret in Annapolis Theatre of Magic, as well as, traveled with them to perform in California and Las Vegas. During the summer, Julie travels to workshops around the United States to study with world renowned dance instructors including Frank Hatchett, Charles Kelly, Karen Herbert and Gus Giordano.. Julie is a memeber of Dance Educators of America and is agraduate of Barbizoo Modeling School. She has choreographed the plays for Huntingtown High School, Northern High School, Patuxent High School, and Windy Hill Middle School. Twenty years ago, Julie started “Julie’s Jewels” Competitive Showtroupes, with just twelve members. She now has over 140 competing members who hold many consecutive National Champions 1st Place Titles. Julie’s dancer’s have gone on to become NYC Rockettes, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Bobcats’, and New York Nicks’ team dancers!
