Julie Rogers started dancing at the age of 3, studying from 7 different studios in the state of Maryland. She has won many regional, state and national titles competing in the areas of tap, jazz, ballet, pantomime, novelty and modeling.
Before starting her own studio in 1988, Julie performed at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, danced the Stage Door Cabaret in Annapolis and performed with the Annapolis Theater of Magic where she traveled with to perform in California and Las Vegas.
During the summer, Julie travels to workshops around the United States to study with world renowned dance instructors including Frank Hatchett, Charles Kelley, Karen Herbert and Gus Giordano. Julie is a member of Dance Educators of America and is a graduate of Barbizon Modeling School.
She has choreographed the plays for Huntingtown High School, Northern High School, Patuxent High School and Windy Hill Middle School. Twenty years ago, Julie started "Julie's Jewels" Competitive Showtroupes with just 12 members. She now has over 140 competing members who hold many National Champions 1st Place Titles. Julies Jewels have gone on to become NYC Rockettes, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Bobcats' and New York Nicks' team dancers!
Trisha has danced since the age of 3. She has been an instructor at JRSD over the years. Trisha graduated from the University of Maryland and has been teaching for the past 13 years. Miss Trisha resides in Owings with her husband and 2 children.
Stacy started dancing at the age of 5. She has been teaching for 15 years. This is her second year with JRSD. Stacy resides in North Beach with her husband and 2 daughters.
Michelle has danced since the age of 4. She has taught Toddler through Adult classes for over 22 years. She danced in Atlantic City and competed in local and national competitions; as well as, entertained in nursing homes, hospitals and benefit shows. Miss Michelle resides in Huntingtown with her husband and 2 children.
Mikki started dancing at JRSD at the age of 3. She graduated from Towson University in 2006, where she was a member of their national ranking dance team. Mikki has returned for a 4th year to teach at JRSD where her dancing career began.
